Gone are the days when women are quiet. When they prefer their choices made by someone else. Nowadays, the story has taken a new turn. Without missing words I can say Women are now hustlers- certified hustlers. Yes! I said so.

Who is going to sit back and let them be taken for a ride? You’d recall when momma always says keep your pride. Hell ya! I kept that and I became a woman, I did not change, I only became a hustler I stepped up my game. You would agree with me that women especially this 21st century has taken over.

Phu-leez! When I say take over, I mean including the earth men. Seriously, women are born leaders- I believe that has already been proven. I mean women are gorgeous, smart, strong and loyal. I’m going to beat the drum harder on that “Loyal”. Whether short, tall, fat, slim. There are just too good.

The question then is what does a woman really wants?

I did my research- internally though, I got responses like fashion, been exclusively grouped, popular, fame, married, good homes, caring and loving husband and this will amuse you competition. Then I asked, are all these tagged to been a woman or these are just nature’s way of appreciating the existence of women in mother earth. I mean compensating them. laughs

Then I pondered deeply and came to conclusion that these are women needs more like their wants and not their really wants. I mean no woman would say they do not like fashion even when attending the most spiritual church or mosque. All these have been in existence right from my great grandmother’s era.  It’s just the circle.

But are these what women wants

Hmmn! I’m not in support though because she is smart not timid, she is strong not lazy, she is beautiful, charming, cool, an encourager, diligent, responsible and so the lists goes on and on.

Women wants freedom, transparency, privilege to do their thing. They are not some padlocks that should be kept locked at every given will. They want opportunities- in fact, they can create one. Bestow them with that and the results are going to be glaring. No regrets. Because when they want something done, it comes to past.

Women are powerful. They are big, focused and strong.

Let me put it to you. Do not despise the humble beginning but don’t discard the modern. Blend it and take no women for trash because if given a chance, you will get to be disposed of first.

Nevertheless, the craving for more is a distinct feature of women and it is not a bad thing because they long for perfection  and let them be near that.I do not think the word lazy exists in been a woman. I think that word has lost its value in respect to what women wants.

You are a woman! What do you want?  It is your birth right no one else can claim it. Stand out, be a woman and rule your world.

Mythbuster: What Donald Trump didn't say about Africa

Did President-elect Donald Trump really call Africans "lazy fools"? The BBC's Dickens Olewe looks at six comments he allegedly made about Africa which are doing the rounds on the internet.

'Africans are lazy fools only good at eating, lovemaking and thuggery'

According to fact-checking website Snopes this claim was first posted on 25 October 2015 on Politica, a fake news website. It was later picked up by blogs and other fake and satirical news websites on the continent.

According to online magazine Slate, a 1991 book about Mr Trump by former employee John O'Donnel relates an incident where the billionaire reportedly blamed the poor performance of a black worker on laziness saying that it was a "trait in blacks".

Fake news sites have tended to bolster their stories with comments Mr Trump did actually make. So some stories are quite plausible.

In the case of this article the intention seems to be satire. The writers used made-up Trump quotes to criticise African governments. For instance, this false quote attributed to Mr Trump is apparently trying to justify his comments:

"These are people who import everything, including matchsticks. In my opinion, most of these African countries ought to be recolonised again for another 100 years because they know nothing about leadership and self governance".

'Nigerians to be deported'

A common thread with Mr Trump's trumped up quotes is that they are inspired by a generic disparaging comment he has made about one group of people, which are then reversioned by fake news sites to appeal to their local audiences.

In this case, the inspiration for the false story came from Mr Trump's comments about Mexicans and Muslims, which were easily reversioned to capture the attention of Nigerians.

Several websites ran stories based on these made-up quotes:

"American Billionaire and Republican Presidential Front-runner, Donald Trump, has shot a subtle warning to the Nigerian Community in the United States, after he said all Nigerians would be made to leave the country 'when he becomes President'. He made the 'threat' during a rally at Wichita, Kansas."

Both the quote and the event are fictitious.

Fact-checking site Snopes says: "Trump did not have a rally in Wichita, Kansas, as alleged by the above-quote, at any point in January 2016."

Pay legal fee for Cecil killer

The killing of Cecil the lion in Zimbabwe last year sparked global outrage as people targeted their anger towards American dentist Walter Palmer who killed the famed lion in a hunt.

A fake story that Mr Trump had pledged to pay Mr Palmer's legal fees was shared at the time.

'Go back to Africa if you're not satisfied with America'

Mr Trump was accused of using innuendoes and name calling during his campaign. He abused, derided and disparaged many people.

These made-up comment were attributed to the president-elect to show that he does not approve of #BlackLivesMatter - a campaign by African-Americans to highlight deadly police shootings.

"If Black Lives Don't Matter Here Go Back to Africa.

"If I don't like the food the waitress brings me, I send it back to the kitchen. And I go eat somewhere else," the false quote by Mr Trump says.

Some of these comments fail in their imagination but have fooled many because they are written in a highly shareable way and they exploit a wide array of Mr Trump's comments which have upset many groups of people.

'Kenyans are conmen'

This quote was attributed to Mr Trump following Kenyan athletes' historic performance at the World Athletics Championships in Beijing, 2015.

Kenya topped the table for the first time, winning seven gold medals.

At the time, Mr Trump was still promoting a false narrative that US President Barack Obama, whose father was Kenyan, was not born in the United States.

The article seems to take advantage of the news about Kenyan athletes' win by concocting a quote from Mr Trump about the event.

The article falsely says that Mr Trump referred to Kenyans and Mr Obama as "conmen who dope and cheat on their way to the top".

'I will lock up Mugabe and Museveni'

This false story currently being peddled by various sites has been revived from a similar piece shared in January, with a threat that Mr Trump would "lock up" the presidents of Uganda and Zimbabwe.

"I want to reiterate here before America's greatest heroes that I will not condone any dictatorial tendencies exhibited by dictators around the world, especially the two old men from Zimbabwe and Uganda," the article says.

"Their days are numbered and I am going to lock them up in prison," it adds.

This is another classic example of people concocting words and phrases to criticise African politicians and put them in the mouth of Mr Trump.

Now that he is set to be the next US president, there are likely to be lots more of these false Trumpisms so don't believe everything you read.

Donald trump from the Republican Party emerges as the 45th president-elect of the United States of America with 59,135,740 votes succeeding Barack Obama in the just concluded general election surpassing Hillary Clinton the U.S. Secretary of state, wife of former bill Clinton of the Democratic Party with 59,299,381 votes.

Trump an American businessman and politician born June 14, 1946 (age 70) with net worth of 33.7 billion USD (2016) according to Forbes and will take office from Jan. 20, 2017 alongside vice president mike Pence. During his career, trump has built office towers, hotels, casinos, golf courses and other branded facilities worldwide. He was born and raised in New York City. In the speech, he drew attention to domestic issues such as illegal immigration, offshoring of American jobs, the U.S. national debt, and Islamic terrorism, which all remained large themes during the campaign. He also announced his campaign slogan, “Make America great again”

Interestingly, with the scandal that surrounds trump and his numerous campaign promises he was voted for and great progress was achieved from the social media platform.  He has indeed brought change both positive and negative and all is under the umbrella of making America great again. Trumps run for president received an unprecedented amount of media attention. Many of the statements trump made during his campaign were also considered controversial. Others were described by Politico as “mischaracterizations, exaggerations, or simply false”

Trump is the second major-party presidential nominee in American history whose experience comes principally from running a business (Wendell Willkie was first). When he takes office, trump will become the first United States president without prior government or military experience, and the first without prior political experience since Dwight D. Eisenhower. Trump will also be the oldest first-term president; Ronald Reagan was older when he took office for a second term.

Frantically, things are going to take a new turn in the United States following  campaign promises like;

Priesthood: A Lifetime Race………………Call a Priest Today

My darling husband have you noticed our son lately? His involvement in God, church and daily attitude towards his friends even unto us his parents? Oh! I love my son and if he continues this way in no time I will send him to the seminary because that is where I believe his talents are taking him to -priesthood. So I ask is priesthood a talent?

Wifey, I don’t think Luke has what it takes to be a priest obviously he is only but a child and still growing why the rush? Regardless, if priesthood is what he wants there will be a sign but for now I’d suggest we let him grow and keep our fingers crossed. Surely the life of a priest is not all rosy, fascinating and full with Disney memories but it is infused with prayers, dedication, and determination not to mention celibacy. Wow that word “celibacy”.

Africans cannot bear take that path especially when he is the only heir. Imagine my son not getting married been childless all his life. That hurts. It is not my portion but then it’s no more news because what will be will be (Que Sera) and whom God has chosen automatically becomes his there is no two ways about it.

Why write about priest? I decided to today because I have gotten series of questions like that fine guy look at him all fresh and he decided to embark on the journey of priesthood? How do they cope…..obviously they are all pretenders?  Their parents how often do they visit them? Do they adopt the name Jesus Christ as their surname? Their feelings how can they tame it? Ladies? And so on I can only but imagine the questions that are going on in your minds right now.

Priesthood is not an easy task I mean these guys as some of you put it studied for years max ten or more depending on the huddles and challenges they encounter. You do biblically know that priesthood has been in existence right from the Old Testament until Jesus took charge of it. Correcting the flaws of the Old Testament flaws yes because the New Testament teachings on priesthood are meager, but crucial to Christian faith. Jesus was not sociologically a priest in the Jewish society that he lived. He appears in the gospel as non-clerical, even as a somewhat anti-clerical figure. He does not belong to a priestly family. In goal, and power, the priesthood of Jesus turns cult into reality and then brings that human and divine reality in word and life to the human race.  Categorically, he states who is a priest that is why among the writings in of the New Testament, the letter to the Hebrews speaks theologically of Jesus Christ as the high priesthood who not only instituted the Christian priesthood, but also is believed to have realized the model of priesthood in his own death on the cross. Therein, priesthood is portrayed as acquiring new dimensions in Jesus Christ.

So The Roman Catholic priest what brought about the “celibacy” because I have seen priest but they all family men. Interestingly, the church is base “Bible and tradition” while there is an essential element of priesthood that is upheld as permanent, the church has manifested a keen commitment to adapt it to every era and circumstances of life.

Celibacy began in the early church as an ascetic discipline, rooted partly in a neo- Platonic contempt for the physical world that had nothing to do with the Gospel. The renunciation of sexual expression by men fit nicely with a patriarchal denigration of women. Non virginal women, typified by Eve as the temptress of Adam, were sin as a source of sin. In scripture: Jesus said to the Pharisees, “and I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, excerpt for unchastity, and marries another commits adultery.” But he said to them, “not everyone can accept this teaching, but only those to whom it is given. For there are enuchs who have been so from birth, there are enuchs who have been made enuchs by others, and there are enuchs who have made themselves enuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Let anyone accept this that can.” Mattew 19: 3-12. Jesus advocates for optional celibacy. For nearly 2000 years the Catholic Church has proclaimed church laws and doctrines intended to more clearly explain the teachings of Christ. But remarkably, while history reveals that Jesus selected only married men to serve as apostles, the church today forbids priestly marriage. Also, today the Catholic Church is the only Christian denomination experiencing worldwide condemnation from “scandalous” allegations of sex abuse committed against women and children by priests and bishops.

Historically, scandals similar to these are known to have appeared only after mandatory celibacy laws were first instituted, centuries after Christ.

More so, the role priest plays are tasking, not to mention leaving solo. People fail to realize that there is an added advantage in having a priest like gathering the laity, acting as a a spiritual leader to the lay faithful- instructing and counseling them, taking into consideration about others more than themselves, in the face of temptation they still remain unshaken with their undoubted faith, even in death he is still comported looking unto his maker. These are only but a few but priestly duties are tasking and lots of care, attention, prayers should be offered for them.

Although the journey is narrow, societal ills are bound to occur but like them saying it takes the grace of God to overcome when that day comes. Evidently, priests are also humans. They have blood flowing in them, they feed, they wail but who genuinely is their strength, they say is their father in heaven. Meanwhile the people have worthy roles to input in their lives.So I end my write up with why not call and pray for a priest today.
