U.S.!! Donald Trump Wins………….Hope, Fear Where Do We Stand? PT1

Donald trump from the Republican Party emerges as the 45th president-elect of the United States of America with 59,135,740 votes succeeding Barack Obama in the just concluded general election surpassing Hillary Clinton the U.S. Secretary of state, wife of former bill Clinton of the Democratic Party with 59,299,381 votes.

Trump an American businessman and politician born June 14, 1946 (age 70) with net worth of 33.7 billion USD (2016) according to Forbes and will take office from Jan. 20, 2017 alongside vice president mike Pence. During his career, trump has built office towers, hotels, casinos, golf courses and other branded facilities worldwide. He was born and raised in New York City. In the speech, he drew attention to domestic issues such as illegal immigration, offshoring of American jobs, the U.S. national debt, and Islamic terrorism, which all remained large themes during the campaign. He also announced his campaign slogan, “Make America great again”

Interestingly, with the scandal that surrounds trump and his numerous campaign promises he was voted for and great progress was achieved from the social media platform.  He has indeed brought change both positive and negative and all is under the umbrella of making America great again. Trumps run for president received an unprecedented amount of media attention. Many of the statements trump made during his campaign were also considered controversial. Others were described by Politico as “mischaracterizations, exaggerations, or simply false”

Trump is the second major-party presidential nominee in American history whose experience comes principally from running a business (Wendell Willkie was first). When he takes office, trump will become the first United States president without prior government or military experience, and the first without prior political experience since Dwight D. Eisenhower. Trump will also be the oldest first-term president; Ronald Reagan was older when he took office for a second term.

Frantically, things are going to take a new turn in the United States following  campaign promises like;

Build a wall along the southern border

Make Mexico pay for the wall. If they refuse, then the US will impound all remittance payments taken from the wages of illegal immigrants, cut foreign aid, institute tariffs, cancel visas, border-crossing cards and port use.

If I become president, we’re all going to be saying merry Christmas again

The environmental protection agency might also disappear

Get rid of Obama care and replace it with something “terrific”

Knock down the regulatory walls between states for health insurance

Rebuild the country’s aging infrastructure

Save Medicare, Medicaid and social

security without cutting benefits

I will take care of women

Temporarily ban most foreign Muslims from entering the united states

Ban Syrian refugees from entering the country and kick out any who are already living here

Heavily surveil mosques in the united states

Never take a vacation while serving as president

Make medical marijuana widely available to patients, and allow states to decide if they want to fully legalize pot or not

Stop spending money on space exploration
Strengthen the military

Allow Russia deal with the Islamic states in Syria

Target and kill relatives of terrorists

Shut down parts of the internet

Oppose the killing of journalists

Fire “the corrupt and incompetent” leaders of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
Bring back jobs from China

I will be the greatest jobs president that God ever created

Aggressively challenge China’s power in the world

Replace the “free trade”  with fair trade”

Grow the nation’s economy by at least 6 percent

Reduce the $18 trillion national debt

On the first day in office, Trump would get rid of gun-free zones at military bases and in schools

On the first day in office, terminate president Obama’s executive orders related to immigration

Deport the almost 11 million immigrants illegally living in the united states

End birthright citizenship

Say things that are politically incorrect

Make America great again

Bring back the American dream

Start winning again among others

Indeed, fear is not something to entertain and Trump strikes us like a determined man whom has come, seen and will conquer. Also, some laws are bound to be revisited and strengthened as he seems to notice that the U.S. is becoming more lenient and slacking in its ways.
Donald Trump has won what are our expectations? His promise is he going to live up to it? What scares people the most? Where is the hope? Where does Nigeria stand?
